川から農地へ水を引き込むための、堰を操作する機械室。施設の役割を理解しやすい開口部のデザイン、農作業者が休憩できる場など、無数に存在するこの種の施設のプロトタイプになるようにとデザインした。

This sluice and water irrigation utility building in Fukuoka was designed as a prototype for numerous sluice buildings.

There are openings to reveal machinery and resting spaces for workers.
